Her rich colors, outline, and dramatic brush strokes recall both expressionist and Fauvist traditions. Colors are intensified and spontaneous in hopes for a painting full of spirit, to interpret nature and submit it to the spirit of the picture. Her color is used to express feelings about a subject, rather than to simply describe it.

The color is liberated from any requirements other than those posed by the painting itself. This allows the luxury of free thinking, creating art of interpretations instead of imitations. Color is expression, unlimited by the imitation of nature; importance is on the intensity of color, subject matter being unimportant. The subjects depend on the intensity of colors to create depth and shape. Light is expressed by a harmony of intensely colored surfaces. Thick dark outlines and rough brush strokes complete the images.
